Ang INK is accepting new members for 2009.  

We will be receiving membership applications for Ang I.N.K. (Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan.) 
Deadline is February 13, 2009. Your application should include:

1. Accomplished application form (go to http://ink.group.ph/membership.php
Click on 'Membership Application Form' highlighted in blue.  Please update to 2009.)

2. Applicants are asked for three (3) illustrations that are of the same size and medium based on the 2009 PBBY-Salanga Prize-winning story:
Ang Higante sa Loob ng Aming Bahay by Raymund Garlitos

Recommended size and format: At least 8 1/2 x 11, landscape format
Open to Filipino citizens only. Those residing outside the Philippines need not apply.

The application should be mailed or submitted in a manila envelope, or a similar sized envelope with your name and address indicated on the envelope. Send original artworks at your own risk.
All paper, works, and packaging submitted to INK for screening will not be returned to any applicant.

Seal the envelope with glue or tape (or both) and send to either address:

The entries will be screened on February 21, 2009. If we contact you after the screening you must attend the Orientation Seminar (ORSEM) on February 28, a Saturday: 9:00am to 3:00pm. Please prepare the 150Php ORSEM fee (lunch, snacks, and happiness) and your corresponding membership fee

Students – 300Php
Professionals – 600Php
 
BRING YOUR ILLUSTRATION PORTFOLIO!
Should you not be able to attend the ORSEM on February 28 -- then please  let us know. Good luck to all of us.

Yes po! ^_^ Ang daya nga nung sa inyo tatlong pages lang eh. hahaha. Nung ako nag-apply may black and white illustration pa. Eto po yung entry ko nuon; just to give you an idea kung ano ang pwede niyo pong gawin:

Hello! Thanks for expressing interest in joining. I appreciate it very much. The link above can not be accessed anymore because every year, the PBBY contest story changes. ^_^ But thanks for pointing that out. I'll update this blog as soon as the 2010 Ang I.N.K. membership requirements are out.

For your other question, yes. You have to have your own interpretation of the story. If you're chosen as a candidate for Ang I.N.K., you're illustration will also be used as your entry for the PBBY illustration contest for that year. If you want, I can add you up as my contact so I can update you with news regarding this. Give me a holler and let me know what you think. God bless!

Hi Ms Glenda! I was also in this state of cramming when I thought of submitting an entry for Ang INK. I was about to start drawing, good thing I checked this tonight and read that the membership application and requirements are for 2009. Will Ang INK have the membership application for 2010? :) Thank you very much! :P

Hello! Naku, it really is a good thing that you saw 2009 written there. LOL. There's been a major revamping of this year's activities in Ang INK. So far, no membership application has been released for 2010 yet. It would be great if you could upload some artworks online. That way, I could point out your works to the officers for deliberation. In the meantime, just keep practicing your art! ^_^

Hi Nathlim! Thanks for expressing interest in joining. At the moment though, there are no updates yet regarding INK's 2010 application. There have been changes within the organization so I'm not sure if Ang I.N.K. will be accepting new members this year. But please, keep in touch. I'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates regarding this. In the mean time, I suggest you keep practicing your art. God bless and ingat lagi. :)
